The BTBF, Back the Blue Program is dedicated to providing advocacy, financial assistance, resources, and supports to our nation’s law enforcement personnel, and to honor them for their service to our communities.

“Give a man a fish, feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime.”

The Back the Blue mission is to be a vital resource for advanced research, evidence-based data-driven outcomes, and best practices that positively influence the development of national, regional, and local policies to effectively address the critical issues of improving community/law enforcement relations and safety.

Although BTBF supports the many wonderful programs, in communities throughout the nation, that assist individual law enforcement personnel with disability and/or funeral expenses, provide necessary financial assistance to the families of fallen officers, and often pick up the tab for a hard working officer’s meal, a major goal of BTBF is to implement system-wide and sustainable change that will improve public service working environments, while striving to keep law enforcement officers and community members protected and safe.
